Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Support NFL's My Cause My Cleats Initiative on Sunday

Buccaneers to support over 40 nonprofits as part of annual initiative

On Sunday, November 30, nearly 60 players, coaches and staff from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will participate in the NFL's My Cause My Cleats campaign, a league-wide initiative that allows players and staff to use their platforms, both on and off the field, to advocate for causes important to them through custom shoe designs. This year, Buccaneers players and staff will support over 40 different charitable organizations when the team hosts the Arizona Cardinals in a 1 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday afternoon at Raymond James Stadium.

This week, Buccaneers players will begin breaking in their cleats ahead of Sunday's game, each pair representing the foundations and charities of their choosing. To help create this year's cleats, the Buccaneers worked with Stadium Custom Kicks.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield will represent the Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation for the third-consecutive year. Launched in August of 2023, the foundation was born from a desire to give back to people who show resilience in the face of steep odds. Their work centers on strength, perseverance, and the belief that success is possible even when the path is difficult. In his first year participating in this initiative, rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka will represent Special Olympics, celebrating the courage, talent, and joy of athletes with intellectual disabilities.

Head Coach Todd Bowles will sport specially designed sneakers representing Autism Speaks – an organization dedicated to bettering understanding and acceptance of people with autism, along with advancing research into causes and improving interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions – in support of his son Tyson.

Owner Darcie Glazer Kassewitz will represent the Women's Sports Foundation, wearing custom shoes to honor the foundation and showcase her passion for empowering girls and women to accomplish their goals both on and off the field. The non-profit organization advocates, educates, funds, and fuels women and girls as they advance through life.

This year marks a decade that NFL personnel are raising awareness for non-profit organizations and causes on the field through the campaign, with more than 1,800 participants spanning across two weeks.

Players have the option to raise funds for their cause of choice through auctioning their cleats on NFL Auction, where 100% of funds raised will be donated to the charities they have selected. Fans may bid on player cleats at https://nflauction.nfl.com/. To learn more about causes and stories throughout the NFL, visit mycausemycleats.org.

To encourage fundraising for organizations chosen through My Cause My Cleats, the NFL is continuing its partnership with Rayze. The mobile-first platform, founded by seven-year NFL legend, Carl Nassib, aims to amplify nonprofit fundraising, corporate giving, and individual activism. By downloading the Rayze App, My Cause My Cleats participants receive their own custom 'Champion' donation links and QR codes to share across social media platforms, encouraging fans to support their causes. You can support players in their individual fundraising efforts through Rayze here.
